Albert. Mike encountered no
problems during his 12 hour
ride. He left Birmingham at
5 a.m. arriving at Port
Albert at 5 p.m.
Bright warm sunshine for
the July 1st holiday weekend
was most welcome at Port
Albert-and-the-sandy-beach—
was a great attraction to the
many swimmers and sun
bathers. Cottagers had a
happy • look • about
themselves, enjoying the
deep blue waters of Lake.

forgiven the weatherman for
the cool, damp weekends

Marion Weaver, Port
Albert had a pleasant sur-
prise Saturday morning;
when a friend she hadn't
seen for 50 years rapped on
the Weaver door. Wilma
Waghorn, ' formerly Wilma
Kneebone, and Marion were
friends in " Chatham in the
early 1930s. The Weavers left
the Chatham area and farm-
ed on the 4th Concession of
Ashfield for many years
