corner of Montreal Str. or Criagies as it
was formerly known, to a newly,
renovated store at .the corner of North
Str. on the Square. •
Elgin Studios has atso made the move
to a new location. The business was
moved from. its former location on
Kingston Str. to its new location beside
the Blue's Super Market on the Square.
There is also a new businessman in
town. Pete Lane is the new owner of
Chisholm's T.V, and Radio on Khigeton
Str. Lane, officially took over the store on
June, 15. He has been in the retail
business for 17 years with the last eight
years spent working for a similar store in
Windsor. Lane, who has known Sonny
Chisholm for the past six years, is happy
to be in Goderich. He is also pleased to be
running his own store instead ofavorking
for others.
Doors close
The economy has forced the closure of
many doors in the business .conununity
and recently Sandy's Fashion Shop the
Suncaost Mall went out of business.
Manager Dominic Bradley reported that
stores in Fergus, Woodstock and St.
Thomas had also closed and remaining
