law at Catholic University in
Washington, D.C. After two
years of study, during which
he, earned ' degrees of

Cannon. Law, he was ap-
pointed to the staff of St.
Peter's on a full-time basis.

fifth of nine children. He

which investigate the
validity of marriages.
It was,;.during the time at
St. Peter's that Father
Loebach held the position of
registrar for several years.
He was also director of
vocational promotion for
many years, diocesan

An Alumni Choir of 77 voices prodded music for North
Street United Church's 150th anniversary service Sunday.
Some special members of that choir, were, left to right, Ted

A `Homecoming Weekend'
held at North Street United
Church this past weekend
was the grand finale to a
year-long celebration of the
church's 150th anniversary.
The weekend, which was a
resounding success; -.got
underway Saturday at 1 p.m,
with a rehearsal ;Or the
Alumni Choir: This-,, choir,
which was led by the director
of music, Robert Blackwell,
was made lip qf. 77 .voices
including the church's own
choir and many former choir
members. At:.4 p.m. there
was a reception a ', ethe

Dinner was then sera to
about 400 people in : the
church . basement by the
UCW. Entertainment was
provided by soloists . Jim
Baird, Eloise Thorne, Jean.
Hanly, David Walker and
Phil Telfer who Were ac-
companied&by Iria Stewart
on piano. The McMillan
family also entertained and
piano interludes were
provided by Joan Henwood,
Norm Pickell and Becky ..
Bender.
A party began at 9 p.m.
with dancing to Shannon.
The church was full for the
Sunday • Morning service
which featured music by the
Alumni .Choir and Junior,
Choir. Guest speaker was

weekend at thechurchwas the grade finale to a year-long celebration of the church's 150th

niversary cake was cut in the
church hall by the Reverend.

The church was decorated
with over 70 beautiful flower
arrangements throughout
the weekend.
