the division leading Cobras
were humbled by Tickers 8
to 7. Must have been a party!
After 4 innings Cobras
sported a 6 to 2 lead but then
Tickers' bats broke loose.
Though I don't know their
true names, Ken, Jim, Ran-
dy, Ding, Chief and Cuppie
all scored in the fifth on hits
by Gordie, Bonner and Knob.
Could have been the 6 pack!
Trailing 8 to 6, the Cobras
managed one run in the fifth
but, were shut down in the
sixth and seventh by the
spirited Ticker team, Ap-
propriately enough, the.
Ticker himself led his team
at the plate batting 3 for 3 on
the night. Wasn't it a party !
In other Pi action, Champ -
co picked up its first win of
the season by downing Local
1863, 12 to 8, Meneset's Doug
Wray, Bill Rahbek, and John
Corriveau all hit 4 for 4
enroute to a 24 to 12 victory

displayed sound defensive
play In a 4 to 2 victory over
the Optimists. Bob, Dick and
Bill Garrow each sported a
perfect night at the plate bat-
ting 2 for 2 while new lead-
off man John Banter hit 2 for
3 and scored two runs. On
Tuesday night, the top of the
order did their job as they
produced 13 out of the 16 runs
needed to • defeat the
Oldtirners 16 to 4. Another
team to watch, Goderich
Restaurant . had • its best
.game of the season in
defeating Carlow 22 to 3 and
the Bears, who remain as the
only undefeated team in the
league only led the Coyotes
by 2 rims in the sixth but
scored 4 in the seventh to
seal a 12 to 6 victory over the ,
Coyotes.

some changes in standings
as 19 games will be played.

The Squirt House League
commenced its regular soc-
cer schedule on Wednesday
evening, May 19 • at the
