Bob Schneicler entertains young and old
There was magic last night
in the auditorium at
Goderich District Collegiate
v, Institute. A magic that could
be felt and touched by the
capacity crowd of young and
old. Bob Schneider was that
magic and combined with
the singing ability and en-
thusiasm of a house full of
children, the evening was
one that many will not soon
forget.
Bob Schneider, composer,
singer .and entertainer
communicated his message
clearly and the children
responded as only children
can. His music brought out
the best in the spellbound
audience, who could easily
relate to musical stories of
peanut butter, pizzas and
dreams.
Schneider considers
himself a communicator,a
trait that he has mastered
perfectly. He likes to treat
-his audience as equals, not
as adults or children,
something that he had little

long concert.
In an (interview before the
concert, Schneider admitted
that his career has
skyrocketed in the last two
years with numerous con-
certs and a recent Juno
nomination for best
children's album -titled
"Listen to the Children". On
Dominion Day he will be
appearing on T.V. from
Parliament Hill, an event he
is looking forward to. '
"I am lucky to. be able to
do work that I enjoy. Of
course I am tired at times
but when I get up on stage
before a group of children I
suddenly get all this
energy," he said.
That energy was evident in
his music which attracts
listeners from all age
groups.
"I hope. there is the
potential for a crossover
effect in my music. Although
it is marketed for children it
has a wide appeal. A
childrens' artist should
perform music that adults
will like, not just children,"
Schneider said.
Schneider hopes to branch
out his career into a a
possible show on T.V. He
feels that television is a good
medium for his work and
that it will enable him to
reach a larger audience.
