Sound
system plans
approved
The Goderich Recreation
Board has approved the
plans for the new sound
system and room to he built
in the Goderich Community
Centre, at its' monthly
meeting, last Thursday.
Jane Netzke, Recreation
Director, told the board that
tenders for the project will
be sent out in the next month
for the estimated $20000
system. With grants and
donations totalling $16645,
the fund raising committee
will continue to raise the
remaining $5355 to complete
the work by the end of the
year.
Netzke • said .that ftmd

The 4th Annual Fellowship
Tournament will be held in
Agriculture Park on
Saturday, May 15. According
to Recreation Director, Jane
Netzke, theSlo-Pitch
Tournament is designed to
get residents in shape for the
summer months as well as
promoting good sport-
smanship and fun.
Registration . forms are
available until May 7.
Bridge
scores
• On Tuesday, April 20 the
Goderich Bridge Club held a
seven -table Mitchell game
with the average score (50
percent) being 84.
Joanne Duckworth and
Lee Ryan were first in
North-South with 96'/2. There '
was a tie for second spot
between Helen Tench and
Tom Eadie and Auleen
Curry and Jean Papernick.
On the East-West side.
Mary Donnelly and Eleanor
Erskine came first with 101;
second were Betty and Ray
Fisher with 88 and third
were Nuala Conlon and Kay
Duncan with 85.
The members enjoyed a
wine and cheese party along
with the' bridge game.
