Goderich Littler Theatre -
will present it's Spring
production, The Solid Gold
Cadillac, beginning Thur-
sday evening.
The play, written by
Howard Teichmann and
George S. Kaufman,
features 18 cast members
and . is directed . by •. Joyce
Kuran. The two -act comedy
is set in the board room of a
big corporation and the play
follows a small investor in a
large company who finds
skullduggery amongst the
top executives and sets out to
remedy the situation.
The Solid Gold Cadillac
begins Thursday, April_29,at.
8.30 p.m. at MacKay Hall
and continues Friday, April
30 and Saturday, May 1.
Performances are also
scheduled for Thursday,
Friday and Saturday the

Colborne Township Coun-
cil'met in regular session on
April 6 and approved pay-
ment of bills and accounts in
the amount of $123,344.58. In-
cluded in this amount was a
$35,000 repayment on a bank
loan, $29,500 for tile drainage
loans, $12,886 for grader

The first order of business
at the regular meeting of
April 20, was the passing of
by-law no. 12 - 1982 to adopt
the estimates of the amount
of money required in 1982 for
township expenditures and
°to set the mill levy to raise
the funds by taxation. The
1982 Farm and Residential
mill rate was set at 235.68
mills, up. 15.2 percent over
the 1981 rate, made up of in-
creased rests for township
government purposes and in-
creased requisitions for the
County of Huron and all of
the school boards.

The road superintendent
reported that he had receiv-
ed a request to put up signs
to warn of a sharp curve on
the road between Blocks G
and F and council authorized
that signs be erected as re-
quested. Still dealing with
signs, he advised council
that he was very concerned
•about the large numbers of
directional road signs that
are being wilfully vandalized
.and' in many cases, stolen.
He is concerned for public
safety when' stop signs are
removed or -broken and also
the cost to themuncipality
as the replacement of each.
