Wawanosh Council approves $550 grant West Wawanosh Township Council approved a grant of $550 to the Blyth and District Community Centre for 1982 when it met in regular session Apri16. Frank Foran attended the meeting and briefly reviewed the township's insurance coverage. No changes, other than automatic increases by the company, were authorized for 1982. Council awarded the contract for crushing and hauling approximately 25,000 cubic yards of granular material to township roads in 1982 to Joe Kerr Limited, Wingham, at $1.45 per cubic yard for roads and $1 per cubic yard for stockpiling. By-law 7, 1982 was given a third reading and finally passed, authorizing the reeve and clerk to execute the necessary documents to enter into an agreement with Colborne Township for the maintenance of the boun- dary road between the two municipalities. Road accounts of $15,829.66 and general accounts of $9,935.13 were approved for payment. Tile drainage loans for J. Hickey, D. Gaunt and R. Hallam were approved. Tentative approval to an application for loan sub- mitted by P. Clark was given pending receipt of official notification of title transfer. A .building permit for E. Good for a milk house was authorized. Council concurred with a resolution from the Town- ship of Maidstone regarding Ministry of Transportation and Commmunications Encroachment Permits for work on municipal drains across provincial highways, and directed the clerk to inform the Premier` of Ontario, the Minister of Transportation and Com- munications, MLA Murray Elston and the Association of Municipalities of Ontario of its endorsement of the resolution. By-law 6, 1982, a by-law to rezone the 25 acres pur- chased from T. Inglis for a gravel pit, was given a third reading and finally' passed by couii'bil.
