The curator, Mrs. Tom Haggitt read a short history of the Auburn Branch which was organized in 1922 by a Mrs. Harry Little of Londesboro. Mrs. • Eleanor Bradnock, a member for over 50 years, lit the candles. and a member for many years , and the eldest member, Mrs. 4Eiva -Straughan cut the cake. - Mrs. Frank Raithby had a quilt contest and Mrs. Tom Mrs. McDougall thanked Haggitt was the winner. A request to canvass for the Homemakers was read and instead of a can- vass, a donation of $50 will be sent. The annual meeting was held and the secretary, Mrs. Bob Peck gave a detailed report of the year's ac- tivitiee, She also gave the financial statement. The auditor's report was given by Mrs. Lillian Letherland. election of . officers over to Mrs. Chandler. The con- vener of the nominating committee, Mrs. Lillian Letherland read the slate of officers for the coming year which was accepted. After conducting the election of officers, Mrs. Chandler installed them.
