Joann. ®tas®han®n
Five more women
volunteers are needed to
attend the breast screening
clinic at Mount Sinai
Hospital, Toronto on June 1..,
A bus will leave the Goderich
post office for Toronto on
that day at 6 a.m. Please call
Lois McGill (524-9062) for
more information.
This is the second year of a
five year program to
determine if low dosage a, -
rays (called mammograms)
can detect breast tumors.
Goderich is only one of many
towns participating.
There will also be six extra
seats on the bus for any
women who would simply
like to , go shopping in
Toronto for the day.

Harvey Lassaline has
taken up his familiar spot in
front of the Met Store at the
Suncoast Mall again this
year. He is there because he
would like to sell you.a raffle
ticket on a car. The raffle is
sponsored by the Knights of
Columbus, Ontario State
Council with proceeds going
to various charities like The
Arthritis Society.
A ticket for $1 gives you a
chance on one of five cars to
be drawn for May 24 in
Toronto. So, see Harvey at
the mall soon.

The name of Mel Snell was
left out of the MacKay
Centre for Seniors write-up
in last week's paper. Mr.
Snell posed for one of the
photographs in the musical
skit, "Photographic
Memories", which was part
of the Centre's program on
March 24. Our apologies for
the omission.
Plan
addition
WINGHAM - The Wingham
and District Hospital is
looking at an ambitious new
building project which would
enable it to expand its range
of outpatient and medical
consulting services.
The $2 -million project has
been approved in principle
by the hospital board, and
work could be underway
early next year.
The_plan calls_ for anew
w ng to house an expanded
emergency and outpatient "
department, offices for
medical consultants and a
new intensive care unit.
Factory to
be rebuilt
KINCARDINE - The Pine
River Cheese Factory should
be back to full operation by
August, after a new factory
is built.
Reorganizing after a
devestating fire destroyed
the cheese factory's original
building, the new structure
will be build on Highway 21,
just north of the old site.
The building will be
constructed at a cost of over
$1 million, and with equip-
ment the new factory will
cost about $1.3 or $.4 million.
The new building will be
erected on a total of 32,000
square feet and will contain
two floors, with a second
floor viewing area into the
factory. The building will
also have processing and
storage areas, along with a
new retail outlet. Presently
the Pine River Cheese
Factory is operating a store—'
out of a mobile home across
from the old building.
