Mrs. Blance Graf of
Goderich died in Maitland
Manor Nursing Horne on
Tuesday, March 30 at the age
of 93.
She was born in Mildmay,
Ontario on May 19, 1888 to
John and Mary (Kloepher)
Schmidt of Carrick Town-
ship.
She was a member of St.
Peter's Catholic . Church in
Goderich and in the early
years of St. Peter's Catholic
Women's .League, she was
the president. Prior to her
death, she was the oldest
living past president. She
was honored at the League's
50th anniversary in 1971.
She was predeceased by
her husband, Peter A. Graf,
onOctober 26, 1961.
She is survived by one
daughter, Mrs. Ernest
( Catherine) Crocock of
Burnaby, B.C.; one son,
John Graf of Goderich; three
sisters, Mrs. Tom (Betty)
McLaughlin of Detroit and
Mrs. Walter ( Marie)
Lambertus and Mrs. Joseph
(Gertie) Lehman of
Walkerton; one brother,
OBITUARIES

Walkerton; six grand-
children; and four great-
grandchildren.
A funeral mass was held at
St. Peter's Church on
Friday, April 2 at .11 a.m.
The Reverend Father A.F.
Loebach officiated. St.
Peter's C.W.L. formed an
honor guard at the funeral.
Pallbearers were Paul
Graf, David Graf, Vincent
Smith, Charles Crawford,
James Crawford and Paul
Mombourquette.
Prayers were said at
McCallum Funeral Home in
Goderich on Thursday
evening, April 1.
Interment was in , St.
Peter's Cemetery, Colborne
Township.

SMITH
Mae Adeline (Menary)
Smith, R.N. of Lindsay,
Ontario, died on Tuesday,
March 2 at the Ross
Memorial Hospital, Lindsay.
She was born in Ashfield
Township to Thomas and
Mary Elizabeth (Pierce)
Menary. .She attended
Sheppardton Public School,
Goderich Collegiate Institute
and received her nurse's
training at Alexandra
Marine and General.I•Iospital
in Goderich. She lived at
Sheppardton with her father,
Tom Menary and her aunt,
Bella Menary, later 'moving
to Cameron Street in
Goderich. -
While in Goderich, the late
Mrs. Smith was an active
member of St. George's
Anglican Church, choir and
ladies' guild.
Following her marriage to
Hubert Smith, she took up
residence in Lindsay.
She is survived by her
husband who resides at the
Victor,,la Manor in Lindsay
and several nieces and
nephews.
A funeral service was held
Thursday, March 4 in the
chapel of the Stoddart
Funeral Home, Lindsay.
Interment was in Smith's
Cemetery, Woodville.
KARL FINDLAY
(RED) WILKINSON
Karl 'Findlay (Red)
Wilkinson of Maitland Manor
Nursing Home died at his
residence on Tuesday,
March 30 at the age of 84.
He was born at Echo Bay,
Ontario on June 22, 1897 to
George Washington and
Mary Ellen (Curry)
Wilkinson.
On June 17, 1925 he
married Keltha . Madeline
Mayne in Picton, Ontario.
Following their marriage,
they lived in Shannonville,
Glen Tay, Echo Bay and
Coldwater before moving to
Goderich in 1949.
The late Mr. Wilkinson
worked as an agent with the
C.P.R. During the first
World War, he served in
France, enlisting in 1916 and
attaining the rank of Sapper
No. 507239 with the R.C.E.-
Divisional Signals Unit. He
was discharged in 1919.
The late Mr.
Wilkinson
was a Inei{h leer of the
Goderich Lions Club, the
Royal Canadian Legion
Branch 109 and North Street
United Church.
He was predeceased by his
wife on May 16,1976.
He is survived by two sons,
Maurice Wilkinson of
Goderich and Allen
Wilkinson of Toronto; two
daughters, Mrs. David
(Joyce) Potter of Sarnia and
Mrs. Errol (Jean) Stewart of
Markham; one brother,
Chester Wilkinson of Lan-
tzville B.C.; one sister, Mrs.
Douig s (Cora) Garratt of
Thunder Bay; seven
grandchildren; and one
great-grandchild.
A funeral service was held
at Stiles Funeral Home in
Goderich on Thursday, April
1 at 2 p.m. The Reverend
Robert 0. Ball officiated.
The Royal Canadian
Legion and Ladies' Auxiliary
of Branch 109 held a service
at the funeral home Wed-
nesday, March 31 at 7 p.m.
Interment
was
Maitland Cemetery.

C.B. Club on Sunday, April 4
in the recreation centre.
