St. Peter's Anglican
Church in Campbell River,
B.C. was the scene of a
lovely fall wedding when
Anne Ione Leahy, daughter
of Mrs. June Leahy of
Campbell River, exchanged
vows with . D. Bruce
MacDonakl, son of Mrs:.
Margaret Aitken of
Goderich.
The Reverend Hunt of-
ficiated at the double ring
ceremony.
The bride was given in
marriage by her brother,
DickLeahy of Campbell
River. She wore a full length
white bridal satin empress
line. gown accented by lace
on the bodice and hemline.
The V-shaped neckline
featured a gathered lace
flounce, Completing the
elegant gown was a trailing
chapel length train edged in
lace. For her hair, the bride
chose a hob of pink bridal
roses and white, baby's
breatl 'trimmed'with flaaring
white lace ribbon. She
carried a cascade style
bouquet of pink bridal roses
accented with green ivy,
white baby's breath and
white bridal satin ribbon. To
complete her ensemble, the
bride wore a gold oval locket
given to her mother on her
weddingday by the bride's
father.
Matron of honor was Susan
Lacourciere of Williams
Lake, sister of the bride. She
chose a floor length pale pink
gown featuring a rounded
neckline accented by a
gathered flounce. The
gathered waistline was
highlighted by a pink dotted
swiss cumberbund. Com-
pleting her outfit was a baby
pink carnation in her hair
and she carried a cascade
style bouquet of baby pink
carnations with white baby's
breath, green ivy and satin
ribbon in pink, white and
blue.
The groom and his at-
tendants wore powder blue
tuxedoes with contrasting
white shirts and . blue bow
ties. Best man was Keith
Pridmore of Campbell
River. Guests were ushered
into the church by Art
Lacourciere of Williams
Lake and Sandy Pridmore of
Comox.
The mother of the bride
wore a floor length pale moss
green skirt with a matching
hall. Crafts and homemade baking were for sale and Santa

complete her ensemble, she
wore matching green shoes
and a corsage of white
carnations.
The mother of the,groom
wore a cocktail length pink,
blue and white floral dress
featuring a high round
neckline accented by a
gathered ruffle. Completing
her outfit was a corsage of
white carnations.
The reception was held at
the Campbell River Winter
Aub. The color theme, done
in pink and white, featured
streamers with bells
highlighting the head table.
Centrepieces of pink daisy
mums, baby's breath, green
ivy and ribbons surrounding
white candles adorned the
guests' tables.
The head table featured
bouquets of blue hydrangeas
and a three tiered wedding
cake decorated with
cascades of pink roses and
topped with two silver bell
surrounded by white car-
nations and ribbon. The
wedding top was the same
one used at the wedding of
the bride's mother. The cake
was made by the mother of
the bride and decorated by
Barb Kirkpatrick of Cam-
pbell River.
All flower arrangements
were made by the bride and
her sister, Susan Lacour-
ciere.
Master of ceremonies for
the evening was Earl Sarsiat
of Victoria and a toast to the
bride, was given by Al
McLean of Nanaimo. A
telegram from Debbie
MacDonald, sister of the
groom, from Greece was
read. Ann Gil of Campbell
River was in charge of the
guest book.
For her going away outfit,
the . bride chose a street
length blue floral strapless
dress featuring a gathered
bodice and waistline and a
floral curnberbund accented
by a corsage of . white car-
nations. She also chose a
white linen picture hat and
white accessories. The
groom wore an ivory colored
three piece suit accented by
a light blue shirt.
The couple honeymooned
in Mexico City and Costa
Rica before taking up
residence in Campbell
River.
Guests were present at the
wedding from Goderich and
Toronto, Ontario; Port
Coquitlam, Duncan, Vic-
toria, Nanaimo, Port
Alberni, Vancouver,
Williams Lake and Tahsis,
B.C.; and Portland, Oregon.
