A serious accident occurred at the
farm of Mr. Jos. Billamy 4th con-
ceasicn of Blanshard on Wednesday
of last week. A number of neighbors
were assisting in tilling a silo, when
the top of the cutting box blew off,
fracturing Ed. Kennedy's arm and
otherwise injuring him. David Kemp
was also slightly injured.

and curious enough to figure out the
religious persuasions of the members
of the new parliament and this is
said to he the result;- 71 Rpman

Mibs Lizzie Johns returned home
last week after a six weeks' trip
through the west, She spent a couple
of months with her brother Alden at
Saskatoon, Sask. Alden and Wes,
Stone, both of whom left here a little
over a year ago for Saskatoon have
done well in the west and have start-
ed into business, conducting a general
store. The boys have 'lots of pluck
and we bespeak. for them success in
the west.

riage took place in Buffalo on Tuesday
evening Oct, 10th of Mr, Richard H.
Dyer Hurclon, son of Mr. N. D. Hue -
don of tuwu to Miss Sarah D daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. John (huff of Buf-
falo. The event took place at; the
home of rhe bride's parents. Park -

News of Son's Death', -Mr, and Mrs,
George Powell on Thursday moruing
received the sad news of the death of
their son, W. J. Powell of Mouudst,
I11, No particulars are known here as
to the cause of his death. The Tel-
egram stated that he died that morn-
ing. He leaves to mourn his loss a
wife and two children besides his par-
ents, three brothers and one sister,
The deceased was well and favorably
known in and around Winchelsea,
having spent his boyhood days there
