The, deceased has been ailing for somet time and during her illness had suf- fered inticb. She was born in Whin: - shire England, in 1830 and in 1857 was married to the late Charles Knight, who predeceased her on Aug- ust 29th, 1000. Prominent St, Marys • Citizen Died. Thomas D. Stanley, magistrate, of St. hlarys, died at an early hour on Friday morning of last week of pneu- monia, after a few days' illness. De- ceased was a leading citizen, identi- tied with every important measure in the late history of the town. His fire, life and accident insurance bus- 1.; iness was the largest: of its kind Western Ontario. The agencies of the G. N. W. Telegraph Co. and the " Canadian Express 'Co were also hand- led by him until a year ago, when he disposed of the Express agency. lie held every position in the Oft of ' the Lown, •and to the best initerests of the municipality.
