Branch president Wm. Burke was chairman of the first meeting and the second was chaired jointly by president Sharon Scruton of the auxiliary and comrade president Burke One application, that of Mike Ducharme, was presented for membership as an ordinary member by membership chairman Rick Duckworth and accepted. Property chairman Harold Chambers reported that the outside painting was almost complete and that a price will be obtained on eaves troughing for the garage. It was also decided that the outside stone work be repainted and an aluminum storm be installed on the kitchen as requested by Coinrade Chambers The property chairman reported that a new hood and exhaust fan will beinstalled in the kitchen at a cost of '$2,565. with the auxiliary con - tri ung $1,065. to the cost. A�buildiing contents in- ventory:has been completed by house chairman, Eleanor Worsen and she will be obtaining a price on refinishing the legs on the chairs in the Vimy lounge and bring in a plan to reorganize and add to the photographs in the various rooms in the branch. Branch 109 will be host this year for the annual interclub dinner which will be held on Wednesday, September 23 in Branch 109 with dinner at 7. p.m. and refreshments from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are priced at $7 per person and. members of all service dubs and the Legion are invited. Branch 109 and the ladies' auxiliary will attend drumhead ... services in Howick on September 6 and Brussels on September 13,. Branch 109's annual Decoration Day will be held at the Veterans' plot of Maitland cemetery on Sunday, September 20 at 2 p.m. Parade forms up in the East end of the Arena at 1.30 p m. The ladies' auxiliary of Branch 109 will host the Zone C-1 convention on May 16, 1982. The Zone C-1 Fall Zone dance will be held at Legion Branch 109 on Saturday, October 10, 1981. As Branch 109 is host of both of these zone functions this year, the hill support of the branch membership is requested.
