Student employers are thanked
Dear Editor,
An open letter to all
student employers:
Along with corn cobs,
crickets, and cooler nights,
August bring the • realization
that summer is almost over.
It is a time focus to look back
on the past few months and
assess how we have filled ow
time. Thanks to your help,
many students are able to
lock back on this summer to
a job well done.
We truly appreciate the
face that you %ave given a
student a chance to use
accumulatedtalents and
hopefully gain a valuable
work experience. Besides
the face .that the work
provided an opportunity -for
the student to use time
constructively, the added
income should be helpful in
easing educational costs
over the course of the school
year.
We, at the Canada
Employment Centre for
Students, would like to ex-
tend
xtend our thanks to you for
making use of our services
this summer. Next year the
Student Employment Centre
in Goderich and Exeter will
again be operating from the
beginning of February until
the end of August. We invite
you to continue to make use
of our services in 1982, and
we encourage you. to
recommend us to friends and
fellow -employers.
In the meantime, the
,regular Canada
Employment Centre is..
available to help you with
your student employment
heeds. Remember, there are
many students who are
ready, able, and more than
willing to shovel your
driveway this winter!
Thank you for your sup-
port.
Yours truly,
Susan Mckee, Former

During the eighties, Ontario is going to
need more electrical transmission lines, to get
the electricity Ontario Hydro makes to the
places where the power is used- We would like
your help and suggestions now, in an early
study of alternative plans for future
transmission lines in southwestern Ontario.
The transmission study will look at the
alternatives from many points of view,
including cost, wise use of land, and effects
on the environment.
H
The study is an gar Iy stage of a process which
will take about three years. It will lead
first to a recommendation to government
on the best transmission option. Eventually,
new transmission lines will be built. ',
