Knox Presbyterian Chapel in Goderich on Saturday, July 25 at 3 p.m. for the wedding ceremony of Debra L. Bowden and Paul Grant MacDougall, both of Goderich. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Bowden of Goderich and the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip MacDougall, also ok.Goderich. The. Reverend Young officiated at the c eremony. The bride wore an elegant gown of sheer-gauza featuring a sweetheart neckline bodice and long bishop sleeves with Swiss - Young People hold service'' , `It Is A Miracle' was the anthem. sung by the Huron - view .choir at the Sunday morning service. On Sunday afternoon,. the. Exeter Young People had a,service in -the Huronview chapel and in the evening Dick Roorda held a hymn sing. Taking advantage of the beautiful summer . day on Monday; many ' Huronview residents went for • walks about the grounds. - A good . attendance was present in the . new auditorium on Tuesday afternoon for 'music an - predation when •a very relaxing time was •spent listening to ' .records of various types of music from classical to modern. • Residents started their day very early on Wednes- day morning when they gathered in the Normal Care sitting •room to enjoy the splendor of the Royal Wed- ding. While recording the wedding on the video machine, coffee and toast were served to the early risers. • Ed Stiles entertained in the Huronview , chapel on Thursday afternoon by play- ing a variety of lovely organ music. - 00 The illness you'll never see coming. After a long drive, feeling' much in need of a bath and a good night's rest, I could use the comfort which that key represented. My friend had sent me the key with the message that I was most welcome to use it. I was TRYING to. The key would go in the lock, and I could hear the bolt being moved, but nothing happened to open the door. I tried turning the key to the left; then to the right; The Huron Strings will perform at Harbour Park on Sunday, August 9 at 7 p.m. as part of a country -western program presented by the Goderich Laketown Band. Members of the Huron Strings are, left to right, Wilson McCartney, Warren. Whitmore, Hugh Hodges, Stanley Hillen and Lorne Lawson. Seated in frontt is pianist Marie Flynn. Country music at. Park On Sunday, August 9 at 7 p.m. in Goderich Harbour Park, there will be a depar- ture • from the traditional band concerts. For the first time in the 13 year history of the concerts, an all -country and western music program will be presented. The au- dience will be treated to the music of the Huron Strings and Huron Ramblers together with step dancers. The Bum Strings have been performing for two years. They play mostly at rest homes, nursing homes, senior citizens'' groups' meetings and quite frequent- ly at Huronview in Clinton. They have also been very ac- tive ctive at fiddle jamborees. The Huron Ramblers, an instrumental group of five, present good toe -tapping country music ,for dances, anniversaries and weddings as well as 'fund-raisiatg pro- jects. The Goderich Laketown Band takes ,pleasure in presenting its first country and western program.
