offers fun for 3-6 year olds
BY JASON AINSLIE
Everyone needs something
to do. And kids m the the
three -to -six age group are no
exception, especially in the
summer months. .
So the Goderich
Recreation Board has of-
fered. the Bert and Ernie
Kiddie Club for another
year.
Assistant leader for the
group, Lisa Ryan, .said the
club acts as.a kind of nursery
school where the children
are with many others of the
same age and can do con-
structive . crafts and
organized play.
For the second year, the
club is under the direction of
Karen Willis, who invites
kids to join on ' a weekly
basis. Although the mem-
bership lasts for , a week,
Karen said many children
stay on for longer. periods.
. Leaders show the younger
ones how to make things and
play safely, the group enjoys
cookie breaks and then the
kids enjoy some outdoor
PlaY•
Karen 'Willis said the
parents are pleased with
what the club accomplishes,
which ' includes outings like
trips to the airport as well as
the arts and crafts 'done at
Robertson School.
