And kids m the the three -to -six age group are no exception, especially in the summer months. . So the Goderich Recreation Board has of- fered. the Bert and Ernie Kiddie Club for another year. Assistant leader for the group, Lisa Ryan, .said the club acts as.a kind of nursery school where the children are with many others of the same age and can do con- structive . crafts and organized play. For the second year, the club is under the direction of Karen Willis, who invites kids to join on ' a weekly basis. Although the mem- bership lasts for , a week, Karen said many children stay on for longer. periods. . Leaders show the younger ones how to make things and play safely, the group enjoys cookie breaks and then the kids enjoy some outdoor PlaY• Karen 'Willis said the parents are pleased with what the club accomplishes, which ' includes outings like trips to the airport as well as the arts and crafts 'done at Robertson School. After a delicious luncheon, races, games and a candy. • scramble were held for the children. Grace Farrish was the eldest woman present and Courtney Dignan was the youngest child present • At a short business meeting. Grant Farrish was re-elected president for next year. Lois Farrish and Anna May MacDougall will be in charge of the races and games. And Joanne Buchanan was elected secretarytreasurer.
