Mother Jean was the granddaughter of Alexander Young who was one of the seven Young brothers who had immigrated frbm Nairn, Scotland to buy 1,200 acres of land along the 8th concession from the Canada 'Company in the 1830s and so being a daughter of earlypioneers, it was fitting to bring Jean home to Huron.
