Lives take separate
paths but memories
affections are one
BY KATHLEEN DONNELY
SC. MARY'S
The class of 1981 today
becomes a small part of this
school's history.
Although two years
younger than we are, St.
Mary's is already rich in
tradition. Consistently, its
graduates distinguished
themselves and their school
in academics, sports, and
student government.
We leave now determined
to take our rightful place
among our distinguished
former graduates. The
challenge of the future is
confidently met, equipped as
we have. been by St. Mary's.
Our' .lives now take
separate paths; • our
memories and affections
remain as one.
We'thank you, our present
and • former; teachers,
Fathers Moynahan and
Loebach for our excellent
foundation in the Teaming
process, for our religious
principles, for our sense of
pride and dignity, for the will
to achieve, and for incentive
to suttee d.
St. Mafy's was all those
things to us. But' not all
teaching, not all work, not all
responsibility. St. Mary's
was fun. St. Mary's was
friends, St. Mary's was
sports. St. Mary's was our
life.
Fondly we recall the
numerous amount of laps
around the gym that we ran
in basketball practise. We
recall the sorrovt of Father
Moynahan leaving us but
only to be replaced. by
Father Loebath. • •
We recall receiving new
students in our school. It was
'quite.an experience. We •
'tried our best to make them
feel welcome. We • recall
teachers shouting at us to sit
down and to be quiet during
an indoor recess_ ;ie recall
staying after school to talk
with our teacher about
politics.
Together we all recall Mr.
McDade calling us into the
.gym and telling us what we
shouldn't do and what we
should do. 'But all of his
strictness plaid off. With his
help, Miss Stemp and the
other teachers we've had
have prepared us ac-
cordingly to face the, world
and the future.
Although we are just a
small part of the school's
history we're important just
the same. We've left . our
mark on this school and its
all been made possible
becauseof you, the people
who cared. •
So, •thanks to the people
who cared..

Special ea o a
school in space. The best
part of this was getting a
break from school and
walking around the fair
groungoing on rides and
)Brindsg games.
We have always had good
sports teams at Kingsbridge:
We all enjoyed playing or
these teams especially *to
we won.
The many field days and
play days at our school and
others were always fun.
Competing . against other
people and winning was the
best part of these days.
These are some of the
points of St. Joseph's, but
now it's off to high school and
I'm not sure what to expect.
From what I hear from my
brothers and sister though,
shouldn't be bad.
On behalf of all the
graduates, I would like to
thank our parents and
teachers for their help
during our years at
Kingsbridge. A special
thanks to Mr. and Mrs.
Zyluk, Mrs. McDonagh, Mrs.
Wilson and Mr. Bullen for
their special help in
preparing us for high school.
Also thanks to Father and
'Brother Carl for their
spiritual help and guidance
throughout the years at St.
Joseph's.
This school means a lot to
all of us. It is where we got.
our first education and it is
where we met people and
friends we will remember,
forever.
Some students at St. Mary's,School received special awards on graduation day, June24.
