ST. MARY'S
dreams
As Valedictorian of the
class of '81, I welcome you to
our graduation celebrations.
If you look around the
room you can see excitement
plainly written on the faces
of the Grade 8 class. There's
something else too. You have
to look a bit closer but it's
there. It's maturity. Thanks
tp nine years of elementary
school, we'll be graduating
as mature, young adults.
These nine years haVe
been the foundation for our
goals, desires, and hopes. In
today's society, education is
beneficial. Although some of
my peers do not feel this way
now, I know they'll come to
fully appreciate this gfft. •
This gift was made
possible by many historical
figures, but also by a
dedicated profession, known
as teachers. I woulclifiee to
take this .time to heartily
thank all of my past and
presentteachers. Although I
have not had all the teachers
my fellow classmates have
had,. I would like to
congratulate our one mutual
teacher.
Congratulations, Miss
Stenip. I don't know how you
cid it, but you made it
through another year of
Grade 8.
Education can be sym-
bolized by a key that can
true
open so many doors. Bit for
education to work, there has
to be motivation. Our
teachers gave us our. first
little push and it's up to us to
keep pushing.
So we're all set, we've got
ediration and motivation.
What else could we possibly
want? Lots of things, but
with our schooling, we can
acquire all of that in good
time. Time! That's a magic
word and it's also something
we've plenty of. I hope we

I don't know the dreams of
everyone in this class but I
do know that every last one
of us is going to make our
hopes come true. How do I
know? That's easy. Every
last one of us has the key.

This is your big
day Grads. Enjoy it
in every way!
