Doug Spitzig added °a two -run homer in the four -run sixth hitting. Leading G&P were • Steve Frayne, Rick Whet- stone, and Brian Rumig who had two hits apiece. In Wednesday's tie with Lakeport Advertising, the feared bat of Ron Klages came to life as he collected four hits including a clutch triple in the bottom of the • seventh to force extra in, nings. McGees jumped to a 2- 0lead,with runs in•the second. and fourth innings but Lakeport replied with three in the bottom of the fourth and one in the fifth. The score remained that way until the top of the seventh when Ken Daer walked and Ron Sowerby singled. With that starter, Arnie 'Parker, - who pitched strongly in an • infrequent appearance on the hill, was replaced by Burton Laglois. With one out, Langlois fanned Mike Petrie only to have Klages triple to right ,centre to tie the -game. Lakeport had a golden opportunity to win the game in the ninth .when Greg Hansen, who collected three hits in the game; and Bill Gallow both singled with no one out.
