chairman of the Leader Dog
Program for the Lions Clubs
in District 89. He told about
the school at Rochester,
N.Y. to train these dogs who
aid blind persons to get
around. He showed an.
educationalfilm and told
how the school operates. He
stated that it .takes three
weeks -to train a dog with its
new master and said that 302
persons were helped last
year from this school. -Mr.
Chamney, answered many
questions from the members
concerning thisproject.

Once again Agricrew is
being offered throughout
the province as an
Experience '81 program and
plans are well under way for
another sueceasjtd year in
the Huron-Perthregioni.
Agrrcrew, in its: %urth
year is going to be run much
the. same way as last year
,wits► three ' crews in the
Huron.Perth' region, each
crew consisting of one
foreman ... and three
crew members. The font
person team will be made up
of students between the ages
of fifteen and twenty-one, all
of whom have had same
previous farm experience.
What can Agricrew do for
you? . Well the objective of
the program is to aid far -
mem who. need help with
harvesting or have jobs to be
done but can't find the time
due to seasonal harvest.
Agricrews are capable of
pretty well any job and in.
previous years have worked
at painting, fencing, haying,
picking stones, piling wood,
general clean-up, and some
first storey construction to
mention a few. Agricultural
societies may also hire
Agricrew to help set up for a
local fair.
The three crews in Huron -
Perth will begin work June
22 and work eight weeks
finishing on August 15. The
crews, which provide their
own transportation, will be
working at various farms

The Auburn and District
Lions Club met last Wednes-
day in the Auburn Communi-
ty Hall with the Anglican
Church girls catering to the
dinner. The president, Lion

It was announced that the -
rummage auction sale was a
success thanks to all those
who made donations to this
project.
Auburn Lions Club
members are participating
in two slo-pitch tour- .
naments,_ one. in Brussels
and one at Vanastra. An ap-
plication for a community
centres grant for im-
provements to the communi-
ty park has been sent in.
It was decided to set aside
a portion of the money raised
through fund-raising pro-
jects in the community for
the purchase of playground
equipment.
