passed away three years ago,
May -'31st, 1978.
Each day in Memory's Gar-
den,
Westin walk side by side,
The many things you did for
me,
In your kind and loving way.
1 remember the day I met you,
The day God made you mine,
I remember the day Ilost you,
And will 'til theend of time.
Among the tears and hear-
tache,
There is one thing that' made
me glad,
That you chose me to share
with you
The precious years we had
I stood right there beside you,
And watched your beautiful
blue eyes close,
When 1 knew that you were
gone
It nearly broke my heart.
My heart still aches with
sadness,
My eyes shed many a tear,
Only God knows how 1 miss
you
And wish that you were here.

New name,
new sound for
London orchestra
Music In London, Ontario
has just been injected with a
new name, a new look and a
new sound.
For more than a quarter
century, the London Sym-
phony Orchestra has lived in
the shadow of its more
renowned namesake in Lon-
don, England.
But no more. Our new
name is ORCHESTRA LON-
DON CANADA. Our new
look is incorporated in the
`logo' that identifies the
name.- reflecting the tradi-
tion of musical excellence
built by our Orchestra since
its inception More than 40
years ago.
Originally called the Lon-
don Civic Symphony Or-
chestra, our name was
changed to London Sym-
phony Orchestra in 1956, at a
time when there was little
worry about confusing our
Orchestra with its English
c'nuaferpart. Today,
however, with the fully pro-
fessional sounds of Or-
chestra London reaching out
to widening and diverse_ an -
A anir -reca ling-cta4
touriffg 'among Its broadened
objectives, a more singular
identification has become a
necessity.
The new sound of the Or-
chestra results from the
engagement of Vienna -born
Alexis Hauser, who will take
comrnand of the podium this
fall as, Orchestra London's
Music Director and Conduc-
tor. An internationally
recognized composer and
musician, the 33 -year-old
Hauser already has won en-
thusiastic approval of sym-
phony patrons in prior ap-
pearances in the City.
In 1981-82 Orchestra Lon-
don will perform' a seven -
concert Symphony Series
and five -concert Family
Pops series in its regular
home at Centennial Hall,
along with regional ap-
pearances, cabaret nights,
oratorios and a new
chamber series presented in
conjunction with the Univer-
seof Western Ontario
aci4ty of Music. "Our new
name not only distinguishes
a stronger identification for
our Orchestra," said
Association President
Fausto Boniferro, "but also
This is a quality we will con-
tinue to pursue in the
future."
