GENERAL CONDITIONS (Please read carefully)
1 Only one entry per class is eligible from a breeding unit, except the fair has
authorized, in up to two classes, a maximum of two entries in classes: 115, 114,
113, 112 and a maximum of three entries in classes: 117, 119, 120, 121, 116.
Maximum total eligible entries from a breeding unit is 10 head.
Example
2 entries'in 2, junior classes plus 1 entry in other classes to a total of 10 head.
2 entries in 1 junior class, 3 entries in 1 mature class plus 1 entry in other classes
to total of 10 head.
3 entries in 2 mature classes plus 1 entry in other classes to a total of 10 head.
2 Animals shown in the individual classes for which prize money is offered may
not also be shown in the corresponding dry classes.
3 Animals from both the prize money and non -prize money classes will be eligible
for the Premier Breeder and Premier` xhibitor awards.
4 Competition is restricted to exhibitdrs from the County of Huron.
5 The exhibitor shall be the owner as -officially- recorded on the registration
certificate immediately prior to the commencement of judging.
6 The registration certificate and the necessary Record of Performance cer-
tificates must be made available for checking before the commencement of,
judging.
7 Within the limit of the total number of entries, unlimited substitution of entries
owned by the same exhibitor will be permitted.
8 Each exhibitor must be a member of the Huron Central Agricultural Society.
- Membership Fee is 82.00.
9 Each exhibitor must be a member of the Huron County Holstein Club. Annual
Fee is 82.00.
10 Entries and Huron Central Agricultural Society forms must be in the hands of
the Secretary, Don Watson, RR 4 Clinton, Ont., NOM 1L0 and Fair Secretary
Faye Fear, Box 1423, Clinton, by May 23,1981. .. -
11 15 percent entry fee will be charged.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: ()Please Read Carefully)
All cattle must be free from Infectious or Contagious Diseases such as Ringworm
and Pink -eye.
All cattle must be negative to a blood test for Brucellosis, within 60 days except:
(a) Steers
(b) Spayed Heifers
(c) Brucellosis vaccinated, animals under 18 mos. of age (vacc. certificate to
accompany animals), . .. .
(d) Animals from Brucellosis Free Listed Herds (owners to obtain form 14A4
from their local Health of Animals Branch Office).
(e) Calves under &•mos: of age (all 4-11 calves to be blood tested).
Blood samples are to be taken by local practicing veterinarians or their approved.

Cattle may not be unloaded from the truck until proof of the shove is supplied.

115 SENIOR HEIFER - (born Oct. 1, 1979 to April 30, 1980). From a dam with at
least one record with a minimum of 120 BCA for milk.

116 DRY COW - At least one record with a minimum BCA of 125 for milk. An
animal shown in this class cannot be shown in any other class for single
anima Is, or the best udder class, but may be shown in the "Breeder's Herd".
On day of the show. must be at least 270 days since last calving.
117 FEMALE - (2 year old, born Jan. 1, 1979 to Sept. 30, 1979). In milk, dry, or not
yet calved for first time. (Must be either from a dam with at least one record
with a minimum BCA of 120 for milk or the exhibit must have attained a
production record equivalent to a minimum BCA of 120 for milk).
118 FEMALE - (3 years old. born in 1978). In milk or dry. If dry, must be within
approximately 8 weeks of calving. (Must be either from a dam with at least
one record with a minimum BCA of 120 for milk or the exhibit must have
attained a production record equivalent to a minimum BCA of 120 for milk. If
the exhibit itself has a production record, it must qualify on its own merits).
119 FEMALE - (4 year old, bona in 1977). In milk or dry. If dry, must be within
approximately 8 weeks of calving. (At least one record with a minimum BCA
of 125 for milk).
120 FEMALE - (5 year old, born in 1976). In milk or dry. If dry, must be within
approximately 8 weeks of calving. (At least one record with a minimum BCA
of 125 for milk).
121 FEMALE - (Mature Cow, born prior to 1976). In milk or dry. If dry must be
within approximately 8 weeks of calving. (At least one record with a
minimum BCA of 125 for milk).
SENIOR CHAMPION -AND RESERVE CHAMPION FEMALE
(Ribbons Only)
122 BREEDERS HERD - (bred and owned by exhibitor). Group of 4 animals but
not more than one bull., Each animal in the group must have been exhibited
in one of the classes for single animals. The registration certificate for each
respective animal must show the exhibitors as "breeder" and as "owner" -
in both cases either as an individual or in partnership. In other words, the
exhdxitor may be a `joint owner" or an animal and -or the "joint breeder" of.
an animal. All the animals must be from one farm or breeding unit.
123 BEST UDDER CLASS - Judge shall designate best two udders in classes 119,
120, 121. These designated exhibits shall compete for first and second best
udders in the sho'prize money to be paid on first and second placings only
as pe r any one of the 15 prize money schedules.
SPECIAL
1st Prize Winners with Official Records (R.O.P. or D.H.I.A.) in each of the
Senior Female classes to be won by the cow with the highest composite°B.C.A.
as recorded at time of the show. Reserve Grand Champion Female will be

the dairy section will be presented. Tickets for dinner can be purchased from
any director of the Holstein Club.
