one break. It was Crum-
mer's second goal of- the
game.
Garrow tied the game up
for Goderich at 3:20 on a

Both teams had several
great scoring opportunities
early In the third period:
McCle-nent had to hesharp
on back-to-back chances by
Garrow.

length of the net to stop a
puck.
The play was rough in the
third period and several
penalties were handed out to

glove hand at 12:33.
Jeffrey's goal seemed to
take the fire out, , of the
Listowel attack. Any hope of
a tie was thwarted when
Listowel had a penalty with
2:18left.
Goderich coach Dennis
Williamson
said that he
received a "super effort"
from his team. He said the
team played "good enough to
win last night, but un-
fortunately; it didn't come
out that way:"

Mount Forest
defeats defending
Goderich team
Mount Forest beat .-the'
defending 'B' champions,
Goderich, 6,4 on Friday in
'B' divisional play.
Goderich hemmed Mount
Forest in their own end for
much of the first period, but
could not come away with a
goal.
Dave Snyders. scored at
the 5:37 mark of' the first
period, putting Mount Forest
ahead 1-0. Snyder took:a pass
from teammate Rob
McCulloch and beat the
Goderich goaliender with a
wrist shot.
Mount Forest went up 2-0
at the 9:30 mark of the first
period. Colin MacMillan
scored on a low wrist shot
after he took a pass from
Synders.
Thi second period ' saw
Goderich get back into the
game with a goal from
Darren Doak. Doak took a
pass from Scott Garrow and
slapped the puck over the
Mount Forest goaltender.
In the third Mount Forest
jumped out to a 4-1 lead, as
Snyders scored his second
goal of the game, and Rob
Leblanc added another
marker.
Goderich then tried to
stage a comeback as they
scored two late goals. ,
Todd Jeffrey went the
length ofthe ice, then _one
handed a pass to Ron
Chapman. Chapman made
no mistake, and Goderich
had cut the lead to two.
At the- 13 :02- mark"Of idle
third period; Garrow scored
his second goal of the game,
cutting Mount Forest's lead
to 4.3.
Throughout the game
Goderich made many
mistakes in their own end,
and it was one of these
mistakes that resulted in
Mount Forest's last goal of
the game.
MacMillan intercepted a
pass in the Goderich end,
and fed a Eiass to Chris
Antonopolous. Antonopolous
beat the Goderich goaltender

with a low wrist shot, giving
Mount Forest a 5-3 victory
over Goderich.
