Pre-nathlclass format change
The Puron County. Hearth..
Unit has provided classes for
expectant parents" for the
past ten years.
The format of these
classes has been a series of
eight classes which most ex-
pectant parents attend 4om
the fifth month of preglan-
cy. The purpose of these pre-
natal classes has been ,. to
help expectant parents to
have a healthy pre -natal
period and to prepare them
for labour and delivery.
Emphasis is placed on the
importance of life style
habits related tai the develop-
ment.of the unborn child, as
Well as`tlle care of tl'ebaby
and the family relationship
surrounding the addition of a
new member.
Research has recently il-
lustrated- that. -many--poten

developing foetus may be
prevented. Expectant
parents need tohave this in-
formation in the early days
of pregnancy or prior to
pregnancy. For this reason
the Health Unit, starting m
June will introduce "early
bird" classes geared to the
needs of the,' pregnant
women in the first trimester
(first three months) and to

Information given at these
classes will include develop-

be followed three months
later by the remainder of the •

Looking
for heirs
Dear Editor,
As I do family trees as a
favor for people who are
unable to final their "roots",,
I am writing you to ask a
favor. Back in the 18505 I've
read where a William Taylor
- •resided in-Goderich - coming
from Perth, Lanark Co, at
the" time McQueen and
Malcolm Cameron moved
from Lanark Co to your
district.
I am looking for William
Taylor heirs - I have traced
the family of William's
brothers and sisters, and his
heirs are the only ones I
cannot find something about.
His parents were xnarried
in Spain or Portugal during
the war. His father was
Colonel Josiah Taylor and
his mother Maria Breto or
Bre•tt°, a daughter of
Countess and Baron Britto,
Portugal... ...
am curator of the,
museum in Arnprior in the
Ottawa Valley.
Joshua Taylor's heirs are
all across.Canada and U.S.A.
as he hada large family, but
a great number I found in
Renfrew County as Jgshia
built a lovely home about -10..
mile -west of Arnprior on the
Ottawa River,.., arhich has. •
been kept in good condition
and a beautiful location.
I think MacQueen and
Cameron were M.P.P.s and
also may have owned your
paper. Someone thought
Taylor was a doctor - but not
proven yet.
Sincerely,
(Mrs) Janet Carmichael,

Development is good for Huron -Bruce, it's
good for Ontario..

area
-it can provide opportunities' for second-
ary industry and small business to locate in
our area.
IIPC7
-it can provide a ready market for cash
crop farmers in the riding and the
byproducts can provide mash for livestock
feed.
-it can make Ontario less dependent on
Albertan and foreign .oil.
The Bruce Energy Centre is a step ahead
for Ontario and, all the better, it can
happen in Huron -Bruce.
CONTROL IS NEEDED
While the new prosperity will be 'wel-
come, it must not come at the. expense of
our farmers, industries, small business or
municipalities.
