drops sports from roster
Volleyball, indoor soccer
and badminton have not
been supported in Goderich.
Township. The Recreation
Committee bas therefore
decided to drop these sports.
The curlers are still
meeting Sunday evenings at
the Vanastra rink.

reports. that it is enjoying

PUC holds the line

KINCARDINE - An energy
management team will be
attempting to minimize
energy costs in Kincardine.
Under the chairmanship of
Kincardine • Councillor Al
alma, the energy watchdog
will be looking at ways to
conserve energy and suggest
proper energy management
for municipal offices and
other buildings in the town.
Plant trees
ST. MARYS - The streets of
St. Marys will be prettier
and more shaded' this year
- and for many years to come.
Recently the town council
there agreed to order 50
Norway maple trees at a cost
of $1,400.
Although it .had been
originally suggested that 40
trees be ordered, council
agreed to go ahead and order
a total of 50.
For 1981 the chairman will
receive $1,000 per year and
the commissioners will pick
up $900 for the same period.
For special meetings each
PUC member will receive
$45 per meeting.
