The Goderich Airport Committee opened five tenders for the rental of the farm land at the airport for the years of 1981,82 and' 83 when it met February 18. A motion was passed to -recommend to council that the tender of William J. McGregor be accepted in the amount of $40 per acre. Other tenders came from Ray Brown at $28.50 per acre; Gary J. Schultz at $32 per acre; Don and Glen Nott at $35 per acre; and Bob Beacom and Edgar Daer at $38.peracre. The committee went into closed session to discuss the continuing problem of tree trimming at the airport. A motion was passed to authorize the town solicitor, Dan Murphy and, the secretary, Ken Hunter to meet with the Menesetung ratepayers' lawyer Earl Cherniak and -or Earl Piggot and to bringback a report to the committee for recom- mendation to council. The proposed airport budget for 1981 was discussed by the committee and generally approved after some explanations. The next meeting will be held March 18.
