Spring Concert
The students of St. Mary's School par-
ticipated in the annual Spring Concert last
Tuesday which showcased the musical,
physical and dramatic talents' of the
students. In the above photo, the school's
choir entertained with a number of songs,
and below, Brook Hoy, Patrick Rourke,
Bradley Sykes, Nicholas Jasper and Justin
and D.J. Sully performe on their violins.

for the 1986' Ontario Family Farm Interest
Rate Reduction (OFFIRR) grant.
The grant FS based qh farm loans with in-
terest rates over 8 percent. Short term
operating loans are also eligible under the
1986 program. ••
Equity in the farm must be at least 10 per-
cent and not more -than 75 percent, Total
family net worth must ,be less. than .
$1,110000: Farm loan details 'require
verification by the lender.
Eligible farmers who receive a grant •
•should consider using the grant to pay down •
debt. For'exarnple a$10,000.grant applied to
principal on a 13 percent loan with monthly
payments and a 10 -year term would save
$7,67.6 in interest charges. "

referred' to. the local Ontario Ministry of
Agriculture and Food 'office.
Robbie Lane
at . Playhouse
GRAND BEND - The Huron Country
Playhouse has recently announced that
Robbie. Lane and the Disciples will be per-
forming July 2'6 at 7 p.m. at the Playhouse.
Born and raised. in Willowdale, Mr. Lane
got his, start with- the. Disciples in 1962 by.
"doing gigs" at Fridaynight dances in Rich-
mond Hill, Aurora and Newmarket.
Robbie Lane and the Disciples were na-.
tional superstars then with a Hit TV show -
It's Happening and a faithful following that
tuned ircevery week to hear the latestain
rock music.
The • 22 year veteran of show biz ,has
represented such bands as Tritunph and The'
Good Brothers but his big 'break came in
1963 when Ronnie Hawkins asked' the group
to play at a Yonge Street Tavern in Toronto.
Singing such.rhythm and blues as Fannie .
Mae and Ain't 'Love A Funny Thing, the
group Began to attract a large following:
"The younger crowd look at it as new
material while the people of our generation
who were the first to experience rock 'n roll,
enjoy .hearing it again," said Robbie Lane.

$200 raised
for cancer
The Goderich branch of the Canadian
Cancer Society will be receiving approx-
imately •$200 from the Goderich Signal -
Star:
At the Home and Garden Show; held in
Goderich April 24-26, free popcorn was
distributed by the local newspaper. Dona-
tions received at the popcorn stand totall-
ed $192.15. This money is to be donated to
the society to aid in cancer research.
"Thanks for eating our popcorn,"
Shirley Keller, general manager of the
Goderich Signal -Star, said.
Wintario draw
at Playhouse
GRAND BEND - The Huron country
Playhouse has announced that' the Wintario
Draw will be held on June 4, live at the
Theatre.
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. acid the au-
dience will be treated to one hour's worth of
entertainment provided by area high
schools...
The Master of Ceremonies for the evening
will be. actress and past artistic director for
the Playhouse, Aileen Taylor -Smith.
The actual draw will be televised at 8 p.m.
and include a 60 second spot focusing on
Huron County and some of its unique
features. •
A $3 ticket price will include one Wintario
ticket to be distributed at the door, eligible
for the evening's draw.
