Walking down the halls one would see people sitting by their lockers, in tit lib?ary, and in the cafeteria, with their heads buried in a tex- tbook, pages littered everywhere. What do students really think of exams? There are many mixed opinions. Some say they don't mind them, others hate them, and others say it is a very stressful time. The general opinion was that everyone wished they came at a different time, instead of just before Christmas. A new teacher at the school claimed he found making exams to be interesting and challenging, since it was his first effort. He was impressed with the communications between teachers of the same subject to make sure the exam was fair for all classes. The secretaries say that they don't mind typing up exams anymore because" they have computers and it makes the job of typ- ing out hundreds of pages easier. Exams are a very stressful time for teachers as well as students. It is hard to create an exam that is interesting, not too tough and not too easy. It is hard to get the 'stud.— i interested enough in the course to study; said some teachers.
