The reason for their anger is explained in a ,motion they passed in their meeting of September 1. The motion states, "That the township protest this apparent contradic- tion of statements - since the town was so desperately in need of more industrial land that the township co-operated and assisted them in annexing some 40 acres of township land for industrial purposes - and now the town intends to remove a section from in- dustrial to hirway commercial." An application for rezoning was submitted to council from James Knight. The change is to allow less set back on his side yard than the zoning allows. Council accepted the p - plication and referred it to the County Plan- ning Department for circulation. Greg Neilson presented a request for a loan for shore line erosion control. Council moved that the application be approved, subject to availability of funds. A letter of protest about a water ,problem arising from surface water runoff was given to council by Neil Mustard.
