Sesquicentennial celebrations were unofficially kicked off on August 1 with an ATV fun
race. During the races for 13 to 16 year olds Jason Hayter took to the air with his three
wheeled bike.
During the opening ceremonies of the Stanley Township Sesquicentennial celebrations
on August 2, Township Reeve Clarence Rau (right) was presented with a Stanley 150
plate from Randy Collins. The plate will hang in the Stanley Township offices.

longest beards in the beard growing contest.
A horse shoe tournament was played at the
Stanley Township Complex as part of the
celebrations on August 1. Marg Consitt took
part in the women's tournament.

Although Jeff McGregor looks to be a bit chilled after being dunked in the dunk tank at
the Stanley Township Complex on August 3, he braved it and retained his seat for further
soaking.
Another event during the farmers olympies on August 2 was the
bail toss. This lady demonstrates the fine art of tossing a bail to the 1,
spectators.
Bill McGregor was given the chore of launching the kub kars for the races held on August
2. Later on in the evening Mr. McGregor was judged to have the best all around beard
and mustache.
