Three years of effort put into history boob

by a great many interested people have
researched and written the book over a
period of almost three years. Committtee
members were Robert Reid, Floyd McAsh,
Wm: McAsh, Jane Davidson, Margaret
Elliott, David Turner, A.J. Mustard, Brian
Triebner, Don McGregor, Albert Postma,
Ralph Stephenson, Phil Durand, Gordon
Hill, Margaret and Ivan McClymont. Help-

Merry Wedding Bells
Sims — Graham
A pretty home wedding took place Tues-
day at 12 o'clock noon at the handsome
residence of Mr. Wm. Graham, 2nd con. of
Stanley, when his daughter, Minnie. A., was
married to Mr. W. James Sims, of Blyth.
The rooms were tastefully adorned with
flowers and ferns. While Miss Millie Ander-
son played Mendelssohn's wedding march,
from "A Mid -summer Night's Dream," the
bridal couple was ushered into the parlor —
the bride by Miss Hamilton and the groom
by Mr. W.W. Taman — where Rev. Neil
Shaw, B.A., of Egmondville, awaited them.
Just as the clock chimed the hour the
ceremony began. The bride was becomingly
attired in a gown of white organdie and
valenciennes lace with sash and collar of
white taffeta silk and carried a shower bou-
quet of white roses. After the bride and
groom received congratulations all repaired
to the dining room, where two tables were
daintily set, the bride's in blue- and white
and the other in pink and white, and partook
of the wedding repast. Luncheon over all
returned to the parlor and as train time
drew near the bride appeared dressed in a
natty suit of pearl grey covert cloth and the
happy couple left amid showers of rice and
good wishes for the Clinton station to leave
by the 2:55 train for Collingwood and other
points. The numerous beautiful presents
received by the bride testify to the esteem in
which she is held by her many friends. It is
expected that Mr. and Mrs. Sims will arrive
in Blyth. where a neat and beautifully fur-
nished home awaits them, on Saturday
evening. Along with their many friends,
THE STANDARD joins in wishing the newly
married couple much .joy and happiness
through life.

The committee was first formed in

became interested. The format of the book
was laid out in August 1984 by Sandra Col-
eman and Ivan McClymont. By the fall of
1984 regular meetings were held until the
manuscript wenktg the printer, A.B. Prin-
ting of Zurich, in January of 1986. The proof
reading was done around the McClymont
kitchen table one night a week from early
January until it was completed in May.
The book is composed of 20 chapters with
