everyone forechecked and back checked Clinton took the lead in the third period
well and goaltender Rob Marriage played when Lee Gibbings passed the puck to Mark
another strong game in goal. St. Marys Falconer who scored his second goal of the
opened the scoring mid -way through the game. Craig McAsh scored a few minutes
first period but Clinton struck back a few later to give Clinton a two goal ,lead. The
seconds later on a goal by Mark King, assist went to Mark King. Scott Mc -
assisted by Craig McAsh.. Clenaghan finished off the scoring in the last
Mid -way through the second period Scott minute of play with assists going to Lee Gib-
McClenaghan fed a long pass to Mark bings and Mark Falconer.
Falconer who skated in alone and scored to Rob Marriage accepted the championship
give Clinton the lead. An assist also went to trophy pn behalf of the team. The team then
defenseman Ken Betties. Near the end of the took a victory skate around the ice to show
second period St. Marys tied the score. the trophy to fans.

Lhague team travelled to Kincardine to
cQnipete in a tournament. The competition
ww,s tough but the Atoms prevailed and
came home with the"A" championship
trophy.
Clinton 4 - Mooretown 1
Craig McAsh was the sharpshooter in the
fit'st game as Clinton scored an impressive
4-4 win over Mooretown.
'Mooretown scored first in the first minute
of play but McAsh tied the game late in the
fist period with the assist going to Lee Gib-
bings. Clinton took the lead in the second
period when Mark Falconer passed the puck
out from the corner to McAsh in front who
snapped a shot past the Mooretown goalie.
I> I the third period Mark Falconer gave Clin-
on a 3-1 lead with the assist going to Scott
11icClenaghan.. Craig McAsh completed his
hat trick late in the third period when he
converted passes from Lee Gibbings and
Stott McClenaghan to score.
Clinton 2 - Kincardine 1
!Showing the effects of a long layoff bet-
ween games and an afternoon swim, Clinton
played a lack lustre two periods of hockey.
The first period was scoreless. Kincardine
opened the scoring in the second period to
take a 1-0 lead. Goaltender Rob Marriage
kept Clinton in. the game with some ex-
cellent saves. Finally early in the third
period Mark King standing at the side of the
net banged home a rebound to tie the score.
Assists went to Lee Gibbings and Steven
Morley. Clinton put a lot of pressure on Kin-
cardine but the game remained tied at the
end of regulation time.
With 1:37 left in the first overtime period
Mark King was once again in the right
place. Defenseman Tyler McGregor passed
to Craig McAsh who took a shot on goal and
the rebound was knocked in by Mark King to
send Clinton into the championship game.
