Council awarded two drainage loan applications: one to Jim Papple for $18,000 and another for $16,000 to' Harry Dougall. In addition, council heard the director of the Lady Diana School had resigned and then was rehired ata salary increase of $1 per hour and a workweek ,extended-' to 40 from 28 hours. There were three other bylaws passed. John Brow ridge and Reeve Bob Bell all voted against the plan, with only Bill Brown voting in favor. A proposal from the Huron County Health Unit also received discussion regarding the possible establishment of a program for single mothers in Vanastra.
