Clayton admit that keeping up with the ever
changing electronical advances in their
business is a full-time occupation in itself,
but it represents a challenging future for the
little shop that grew out of Arthur Groves'
part-time interest.

chain of stores that employs more than 20.
Patrick. Higgins is manager of the Clinton
store and Michael, manages the Exeter
business that opened in 1979. Pat is in

in 1981 and Cathy manages the S.eafort
operation.
Paul, heads the factory ,end of the jewelry
operation. This separate Clinton based
business looks after all the jewelry repairs,
stone setting, silver holloware repairs,
engraving and custom manufacturing of
Anstett's own designs. Paul, an experienced
goldsmith, and his staff of five work full-
time at the busy downtown Clinton plant.
Anstett Jewellers is still a growing and
prospering business. And John's wish for
the future is that this successful tradition
will continue.
"In the business world you can't stand
still," he says.
Major renovations have been carried out
in all the stores and in November, 1980, in
Clinton the business moved across Albert
Street to impressive new headquarters in
the former Royal Bank building.
Today Anstett Jewellers remains one of
the finest names in the business. While John
Anstett Sr. is able to enjoy the comforts of a
less hectic work schedule, his children and
relatives are successfully continuing the
tradition that he began some 35 years ago.'
