The sketch of the church which appeared
on the front of the church bulletin is a copy
of a recent sketch done for the Norman
Family, by their neighbor, Nhan Tran. The
calligraphy was done by Greg Lobb.
This Sunday, July 28 special music will be
provided by the Varna Singers. The huge
parade in Holmesville on July 20 wag a great
success under beautiful sunny skid. There
was a great display of many floats from
milk trucks to donkeys dressed as Jenny
and Jack behind the Merner's float, school
'floats and church floats. All in all it was a
very long parade with over 200 floats, held in
celebration of Goderich Township's 150th
Birthday.
Jack Norman, San Francisco was home
for -the week with his parents Bill and
Charlotte Norman.
. The Enterprising Seniors had a very good
bid on their autographed quilt. Mrs, Clifford
McNeil hada bid of $1,000 being highest.. ,
Bus trips left the school three days to visit
points of interest in Goderich Township en
their stop at St. James' Middleton Wednes-
day. Rev. Bell welcomed everyone and rang
the church bell. On Friday, Blanche and Ed-
ward Deeves greeted the guests and again
rang the bell. On Sunday Blanche and Ed-
ward greeted the bus by ringing .the bell
then told of about the church and asked Vera
Miller if she would play the old pump organ.
The ball game on July 17 between the
CKNX Try Hardg and Holmesville ended in
a tie, with the Try Hards leaving the field
just knowing they would lose the game. It
was really great sitting and watching this so
called "ball game". Congratulations to
Holmesville.
