evening a number of residents went in to
Clinton Arena to watch the Wintario televi-
sion show- Golda Tyler had the opportunity
of pressing the "magic button". Prior to the
show, an excellent program of singing and
dance numbers was presented by an en-
thusiastic group of people from the
Goderieh Township area. Congratulations to
all those wonderful' people who organized
and participated in the many successful
events of the past week, in celebrating the
150th birthday of the Township. A large
number of res,}dents went to .Hohnesville
Saturday to watch the viarade.
Roman Catholic Mass Conducted by Rev.
John Pinta took place in the chapel Friday
morning. At noon, residents from the south'
wing enjoyed their meal of barbecued hot
dogs and hamburgs. In the afternoon bingo
fans gathered in the auditorium to try their
luck at the game.
Huronview welcomes Mildred Marwick of
Goderich, who has come to reside here. To
the family of the late Annie McNichol, sym-
pathy
ympathy is expressed. Thanks goes to Ida
..Godkin for her generous donation of a lap
robe.
HURONVJEW - Residents enjoyed an in-
teresting presentation on July 16, when,
about 35 children from the Clinton
Playground Program with their leader „
Peggy Jones entertained. These young peo-
ple Sang a number of songs unaccompanied
and put on a skit called Bobby the Robot.
- Helping with the program, musical
numbers, were given by Elsie Henderson,
Grace Duggan, Mabel Scott and Frank
Bissett. At the conclusion of the program,
the children served homemade brownies.
The July birthday party took. place July
17, and the Women's Institute of Londesboro
had Charge. Helen Lawson chairperson, in-
troduced the performers. Dance routines
were given by Paula Allen, Jennifer Szusz,
Lindsay Anderson, Lisa Kennedy,. Kerri
Szusz. Piano duets and solos were played by'
Jennifer and Kerri Szusz, Marsha Szusz,
Deanna Lyons. Refreshments were served
and following this, was the distribution of
pins, caps, pens, coffee mugs etc. by
representatives of Wintario.
Mid -week Bible Study with Mrs.. Prouty
was held in the chapel on July 18. In the

Point Farms Provincial Park on Highway
21, north of Goderich has a history rich in
the rural tradition of Huron County. Rem-
nants of the homesteads of three pioneering
families can still be seen in the park in the
form of grape arbours, orchards and
hedgerows that delineated the fields. The
only structural remains is the Stirling Barn
that was raised in 1889 and converted into an

Come and explore the history of Point
Farms for yourself and join us for our
weekend activities. On Friday, July 26 at
8:00 p.m. films will be shown at the Barn. On
Saturday, July 27 at 3:00 p.m. there will be a
softball game at the Colborne Ball Diamond
and a puppet show at the barn at 7 p.m. On
c.anday, July 28 there will be a church ser-
vice and singalong at the Barn at 11:30 a.m.
The Clinton Branch Library was presented with a book entitled The Royal Canadian
Legion, 1926 -1986. The book commemorates the Legion's Diamond Jubilee. Presenting
