"Within the last ten years, there has been
a renewal of interest from the public in
stained glass", says Wolfgang Suppan,
owner of the Old Schoolhouse Glass Shop in
Dashwood. "More and more people are do-
ing stained glass as a hobby and restoring
class panels in their homes".

Grand Bend
The Canadian Brass will return to Huron
Country Playhouse for two special concerts
on July 14, 1985 at 3:00 pili and 8:00 pm.
"The Brass" as they have come to be call-
ed by many of their fans are first rate musi-
cians. Armed with only two trumpets, one
tuba, one french horn and one trombone,
they are innovative entertainers, comedians
and pioneers in the field of combining
classical music with popular entertainment.
In a relatively short periodof time, The
Canadian Brass has virtually taken the
world by storm - from the China Wall to
Carnegie Hall - - playing everywhere to sold -
out houses. They have won the world by cap-
turing the hearts and minds of the public
and critics everywhere. ,And of course,
throughincredibly hard work: 150 concerts
per year, 18 albums, Royal Command per-
formance, countless television appearances
from the Johnny Carson Show, the Muppets
and Sesame Street, to their own Super --
Specials.
The Canadian Brass is Fred Mills, Ronald
Romm, Chuck Daellenbach, Martin
Hackleman and Eugene Watts, musicians'
anybody could love.

Revue
high; flying
by KEN JOHN GRANT
Blue Champagne, a musical revue by Ken
John Grant, will play at Playhouse II, July 9
- 20.
This high -flying musical revue takes us
:back 'to' sorne of the fdrties'"best'shngs'and
memories. Ken John Grant has accurately
captured the spirit of that bygone era, when
theworld was at war and television was
something from science fiction, when `pop"
music meant "The Chatanooga Choo-Choo"
and "Shakin' The Blues Away" (both are in
this show).
Filled with more than sixty-five songs
from the past, this musical revue is an ex-
hilarating variety hour of singing, dancing.
and funny commercials. Featuring a cast of
three talented performers, this dazzling
show scats, and sways through Hollywood
hits, Jukebox hits from the ,past and war-
time melodies.
As wellras creating BLUE CHAMPAGNE,
Ken Jobb Grant was one of the show's
original stars when it toured theatres across
Canada. Don't miss this bubbly musical.

Karen studied the art of stained glass with
Lawrence Lee, ARCA in Kent, England and
she is a member of the Board of Directors of
the Artists in Stained Glass.
Artists Sue -Obata and Fred Biuchinger
will also exhibit their work at „ the
Playhouse. Buchinger trained in Vienna as
a porcelain painter and when he came to
Canada he worked in a stained glass studio.

Paul Thompson, (left), and Gordon Lobb of Goderich Township, were two of the many
people converting the Goderich Township Shed into the "theatre" that will be the setting
for The' Farm Show. The conversion took place on July 3 with the play opening July 11
and running until July 19. Mr. Thompson, the director of the play, says there will be few
changes in the .play which debuted in 1972. ( Anne Narejko photo)
