Matthew age 4 and Rebecca age 2. Mr.
Woodall's last parish was in Spirit River, in
the Peace River country, north of Edmon-
ton, Alberta. Mr. Woodall will be inducted to
Ontario Street United Church on August 1,

Former Sherlock-Manningempioyee dies at age 68
A former employee at the Sherlock- Griffiths of Niagara Falls died at Greater
Manning Piano Factory in Clinton, Louis Niagara General Hospital on July 1. He was

on July 3. He was 68. Mr. Griffiths was born in Londesboro on

Funeral services were held at the St. An-
drew's,United Church on July 3. Hether-
ington and Deans Funeral Home were in
charge of the arrangements. Interment
'followed in the Fairview Cemetery.
Thomas Richard Sharp '
Thomas Richard (Rick) Sharp of RR 1;
Clinton died at Clinton Public Hospital on
July 6. He was 24.
Mr. Sharp was born in Clinton on May 15,
1961. He was theson of the late Alvin Fran-
cis Sharp and the former Ellen Irene Lee.
Mr. Sharp worked • as heavy duty
mechanic apprentice.
He is survived by his parents, Ellen and
Robert Govenlock of RR 1, Clinton; three
sisters, Joanne Sharp, Susan and Michelle
Govenlock of RR 1, Clinton and one brother
Michael Sharp of RR 1, Clinton. •
He is also survived by his grandparents,
Elmer and Phyllis Lee of Clinton, Mary
Sharp of Clinton and May Govenlock of RR
5, Seaforth.
Mr. Sharp was predeceased by his father,
Thomas Alvin Francis Sharp (1965) and by
his grandfatherS, Alvin Sharp (1984) and
Thomas Govenlock (1970) .
Funeral services were held on July 8 at St.
Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Clinton.
The deceased's uncle, Rev. John Sharp, and,
Rev. John Pluta officiated. A cremation
ceremony was held, with burial of ashes at
the Clinton Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Flynn, Douglas'
MacDonald, Dwight Porter, John Dykstra,
Neil Govenlock and Wayne Colclough.

families have farnily in the Clinton Church.
On Sunday morning the congregation
celebrated the Lord's Supper. The morning
sermon was entitled, "The King's Banquet,
a Beggar's Delight". The evening sermon
was based on Acts 1:14 and was called
"Prayer as Spiritual Preparation".
The Church welcomed as visitors and
volunteer helpers four girls from Michigan
and Nova Scotia who are working in
Vanastra and Clinton with the SWIM team
(Summer Workshop in Missions). The girls
will be working with the volunteers of the
Vanastra and Clinton Church Vacation Bi-
ble School. Vanastras Bible school will be
from July 8-19. and Clinton invites all com-
munity children to'their VBS from July 22-
26.
A special door collection was held for• the
Tornado Relief Fund. The sizeable collec-
tion will be matched three to one by the
government.
The church received many visitors this
first Sunday of the monthal is the custom
during•the vacation months.
The church is awaiting the coming of their,
new minister and his . family, the Rev.
Homer Samplontius, from Edmonton. He is
due to arrive at the end of July.

HOLMESVILLE - Worship Service was
held in Holmesville UnitedCh ch Sunday
morning with Rev. Bechtel�l ri charge.
Steward Farquar and Wayne Tebbutt
received the offering.
There will be a special service held in
Hohnesville United Church on July 21 at
9:45 for all those who are back for 1-5-0 to
come and renew their acquaintances. There
will be special music provided.
The men's club of Holmesville and Wesley
Willis church will - be- having a chicken
B.B.Q. at Wesley Willis Church. Tickets are
available from Hugh Lobb. •
Come and join in the 1-5-0 church service
in Holmesville, July 21, at 2 p.m. Lunch will
be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will
be an old fashioned hymn sing which will
call the .people to the school yard for the ser-
vice. People are being asked to bring lawn
chairs. Guest speaker will be ' the ,Right
Reverend Bishop Bill Townshend.

Kent James Murray and Kathleen Alice
Langille were married May 25 at their home
in Seaforth by Rev. Lester Roloson ' of
-Palmerston. The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. James Hayes of Goderich and
the groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William
Murray of Port Hope. Bridesmaid was
LeaAnn Veysey of Varna. Allen and Kevin
Langille, sons of the bride gave her away.
Best man was Wayne Smith of Listowel.
Scott Murray, son of the groom, was
ringbearer and Brett Murray, brother of the
groom, from Toronto, ushered guests.
Musicaavas "provitd by Carrot McKim of
Lucknow. Following a reception at Goderich
with music by the Cavaliers, the couple took
a short trip to Toronto. They now reside in
Seaforth.
