terested and energetic staff. The Children
have.been involved within the conununity as
well as outside Vanastra. They have visited
live theatre, participated in parades, sung
on radio, performed at Huronview and the
list goes on.
The Vanastra Community, especially the
Lioness Club, has been very supportive. The
past eight years have been very exciting
ones. Hopefully the next eight years will be
just as productive.

Remembering the good old days ® Schoolmates at Sproats
There was Nellie Oldfield and Fannie, all
remember those two;
Jennie Sproat and Mary, also Annie and
Hugh,
Hugh, the first of my schoolmates to
answer death's call
And remind us the summons would come
to us all,
Oh how well I remember kind words that
were said, When the sad news was received
that poor Hughie was dead.
Bill Sholdice, Jim and Adam, they moved
back into Grey,
And Bill lives on that farm right down to
this day.
Jim is in McKillop on the north gravel road ;
I think Adam went West and took up his
abode.
William James has left us, though it's just
for awhile,
Yet we miss for the present his bright
cheery smile.
Billy Hays was there, from the third line he
came,
He got many a licking but you bet he was
the game.
Jim Ross, Tom and Andrew; the girls
Agnes and Jane,
They moved out to Kansas where they still
remain.

There was Alice Sholdice, from Wean or

If I am not mistaken she had rather fair

Bill Chesney or Sorrel Top, as he mostly

The rest had not started when I quit the

Next Jim, Sam and Jane, then Martha and
