29% Butter Bran Biscuits
Why was Antonio Salieri so frustrated in the film, Amadeus? Because
he didn't understand why God had given such a humble person as
Mozart the ability to effortlessly produce note -perfect masterpieces.
I was watching a music awards show and Joe Cocker shuffled on stage
and began to tear a unique version of "Amazing Grace" from his soul.
Within seconds, he galvanized the audience and when he was finished,
they rose as one person to applaud his genius.
Many people find it difficult to believe that any product line with the
humble beginnings of No Name could include products that are works
of genius. If you are such a person, I ask you to try just one product - our
No Names" 29% Butter Bran Biscuits that are made exclusively for us
in New Zealand. Many people consider this to be the most exciting,
best tasting, unique product that we launched in 1984 and it's also a
good source of dietary fibre. Mozart,Joe Cocker and No Name - it's time

Jim White: During this Insider's Report promotion, we're flying
in red, yellow, purple, and white swept peppers from Holland.
Here's how to barbecue them: Halve the peppers, clean the
ribs, discard the seeds and cut into wide strips or chunks. Dip
pieces into Aurora Extra Virgin Olive Oil (see page 5) and grill
4 inches above coals. Brown lightly on both sides; be careful
not to overcook, as peppers should retain their natural crunch.
As we go to print, it is impossible to predict what the Dutch
market will be charging for rainbow-c<iloured,peppers, so check
the produce department for each week's market price.
P.S. Here's another tip for serving multi -hued peppers; cut
them into strips and serve with ANNE'S GOURMET BLUE
CHEESE DRESSING. It's an excellent dip for all crunchy raw
vegetables. Our 500 mL jars are only $2.79 each; look for them
in the refrigerated case of the produce dept.

UNCLE ;.BEN'S WILD RICE MIXTUR
1/2 PRICE
Wild rice has just made a big splash in Paris where it was served to
gourmets at an Ontario -sponsored gastronomic event. One French
food writer, tasting wild rice for the first time, hailed it as "The
Caviar of Canadian Vegetables!!"
The problem, of course, is that this native "caviar" is usually very
expensive. But when Uncle Ben. combines it with other rices, the
resultant mixture naturally costs less. Yet the flavour of the wild rice
shines through.
For this issue, we have a 1/2 price sale on Uncle Ben's Long Grain
& Wild Rice (170 g) and Uncle Ben's Brown & Wild Rice (142 g).
Until July 13, they're only 97 cents a box and they make exotic
summertime salads!! That's 1/2 the $1.95 charged by many Toronto
supers. Have you ever seen such a lowrice before? Will you ever
see it again? Shouldn't you stock up NSW?
Available: L, LS, NF, Z, SI.
In my opinion, the seedless "Red Flame" variety is the world's finest grape. At
this time of year, growers in the Coachella Valley, California, are just starting to
harvest their crop and we expect shipments to swell during rhe five weeks of this
Insider's Report program. The vines at the uppermost rim of the vall e
harvested first because they get the most sun. Naturally, these "high v'
grapes tend to be premium priced, but as the season gets into spying, and as pe
pickers move down into the valley, prices drop. It is impossiljlk for us to predict,
weeks in advance, how low the market price for these sensational, crunchy,
seedless grapes will fall over the next five weeks.
IN MY O -PINION, "SEEDLESS RED FLAMES" ARE THE BEST •
GRAPES YOU'LL EVER TASTE: BUT THE SEASON IS SHORT. BE
SURE THAT YOU DON'T MISS THEM!! Available: L, LS, NF, Z.
