Consitt, and Jo-anne Consitt • & Ben
Rathwell. The Egg on a Spoon relay was
won by Ben iiathwell's team. The back to
back rac.'e with a balloon was' won by Julie
Consitt and Mavis Turner. A sack race was
won by Mavis Turner and David Rathwell.

Royal Canadian Legion Drum -Head Ser-
vice was held June 9 at the Royal Canadian
Legion Branch 499 Palmerston. A service of
Remembrance: "They shall grow not old,
as we who are left grow old; Age shall not
weary them, nor the years condemn. At the
going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them."
The service was conducted by Rev. Ken-
neth S. Tanner, Padre Parade Marshall
Conrad Ralph Morphy formed up parade at
the Royal Canadian Legion Hall Branch 409
Palmerston at 2:00 p.m. with the Walkerton
Pipe and Drum Band and the Midwestern
Cadet Band.
Service of Remembrance was held at the
Cenotaph, depositing of wreaths and the
Last Post by Bugler A. White. Parade con-
tinued to Lawrence Park, where reviewing
stand salute was taken by Comrade Lloyd
Anderson.
At Lawrence Park the Drumhead Service
was conducted by Rev. Kenneth S. 'Tanner,
Padre. Stacking of the drums by Walkerton
Pipe Major. In attendance from Clinton
Branch 109 were Comrades Gordon Tait,
Steve Maguire, John Deeves, Paul Cormier,
Al Welch, Dianne Maguire, Francyna Cor-
mier and Thora McPherson.
Coming Events
Decoration Service will be held Wednes-
day, June 19th at the Clinton Cemetery,
form up at the Cemetery 7:45 p.m. Service
at 8:00 p.m. Graves will be decorated June
18 at 7 p.m. Could we please have a good tur-
nout for these two nights Comrades as your
help will be greatly appreciated.
June 17 is the joint executive meeting with
Ladies' Auxiliary at 8 p.m. sharp. June 24 is
the general meeting at 8:30 p.rn. June 15,
Zone C-1 Diamond Jubilee Honour and
Awards.
On July 6 there will be a reception and
dance at the Kincardine Legion 9 p.m. till 1
a.m. for. Comrade Mary Hawn Zone C-1
Commander of the Ladies Auxiliary. Com-
rade Mary is' celebrating her 40th wedding
anniversary. Anyone wishing to attend or

Sports
June 9 is the Legion Golf Tournament at
Sunset Golf Course, Comrade Don Arm-
strong reports it was a beautiful day with a
super turnout of 86 golfers. Low gross win-
ner was Gerry Mero from Goderich Legion
with a 7, low net for the day was Pat
McMahon; of Clinton Legion, winner of the
Ball MacAulay trophy, which is awarded for
low gross score, Clinton Legion regular
member was Al Hughes with a 78.
Special thanks goes out to Rosemary
Armstrong and Bess Black for looking after
the food, and to all sponsors ane, donatees
for their help towards the prize table, all of
whom made this day a successful one.

55th Stephenson reunion
The 55th annual Stephenson Reunion was
held on June 2 at Huron Centennial with 94
people in attendance. Registration and cof-
fee hour was held from 3-4 p.m.
The President, Robert Welsh, welcomed
all to our picnic. Leonard Metcalfe Jr. then
introduced our program. Elva Sanders
started with a comical reading. Two
numbers were played by Ralph Stephenson
on the piano and George Dawson on the
violin, followed by Allison and Arny Met-
calfe with a step dance reel.
A ukulelia group • consisting of Mavis
Turner, Michelle Turner, Julie Consitt, and
Joanne Consitt played and sang six songs.
Piano selections were played by Sarah Met-
calfe, Anne Metcalfe and Mary Beth Met-
calfe and Julie Metcalfe. Anne Raven sang a
solo accompanied by Mona Stephenson on
the piano.
After the great program everyone en-
joyed a bountiful . smorgasbord meal.
Following the supper, business was con-
ducted by president, Robert Welsh. The
minutes were read by secretary -treasurer,
Debbie Rathwell. Everyone agreed on conti-
nuing our reunion which will be held on June
1, 1986. A musical program again will be
planned.
Family members had a moment's silence
for those who had passed away since our
' last reunion. Special recognition went to
Anne ( Stephenson l and'Harold Raven from
Marlett, Michigan. Ralph Metcalfe , will
become President and Joyce Bousbey will
be in charge of sports for our next reunion.

Janice Beyersbergen and Carol Stephenson
