The yearly event showcases the talents of southwestern Ontario's best interior decorators. Held from May 23 to June 23 the event is being held this year at Hazelden, a spacious old home located at 1132 St. Anthony's Road, London. Interiors has been a project of Orchestra London for the past five years. Each showcase invites designers from the London area to redeocrate rooms and landscape the grounds some of London's finest homes. Interiors '85 features the 93 -year-old stone and frame home, Hazelden. The 20 rooms of this three storey home are open to the public viewing as prominent interior design firms display a range of decorating styles from traditional to California beach house. ' In addition to bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living rooms and dining rooms, Hazelden features an office, a servant's suite and fitness room complete with sauna and jacuzzi. Around the home the accent is on a low maintenance, classic design which reflects the era of Hazelden. Local landscape firms have executed the planting of beds of wildflowers, ground cover and flowering shrubs. Other prominent landscaping features include - a gazebo, circular .interlocking brick driveway, wrought iron fence and stone gate pillars. For Interiors '85, Clinton designer Tim St. Louis showcased his talents in a bed -sitting room. The dual function of this sitting and guest bedroom encourages one to relax and unwind.
