HURONVIEW - Musical entertainment
was provided on May 27 with Marie Flynn
and the Huron Strings. Old tunes, many of
them favorites of yesteryear, and some of
today's popular pieces were played for the
pleasure of the audience.
Two or three mornings each week are set
aside for women and men of 1st North to ex-
ercise with Marlene to music. The residents
look forward to these few minutes, and en-
joy this time of relaxation.
For the past few days, several residents
have been taking advantage of rides,
whenever the van is available.
A coupie of days this week, residents got
together in the auditorium, to fill bags for
the Kinsmen of Clinton. This has been done
in the past, but this time it was done in
record time. Fingers of the assembly line
were kept busy, right down to the last bag.
Sunday morning worship was held in the
chapel, and in the absense of Rev. Pick, the
guest speaker was Rev. Pickell, retired
United Church minister of Goderich.
In the afternoon, residents were surprised
when they were entertained by two active
groups of young people. Pupils of Shannon
Preszcator performed excellent dance
routines. Girls taking part were Tessa
Steenstra old tyme reel, Clicking trio Angie
Radford, Lee Ann Wammes and Heather
Royal. Christy Scott danced an old tyme
reel, followed by clog jig and reel danced by
Heather Royal. Dancers of the Stepping
Stones were Sandra Lobb, Tessa Steenstra
and Christy Scott. Bringing this part of the
. program to a close, was an old tyme reel,
danced by Lee Ann Wammes.
A pageant set to music, song and drama
was presented by the junior choir of Nor-
thside United Church of Seaforth. They were
directed by Audrey Mcllwain, and accom-
panied by Margaret Whitmore. The young
people gave a splendid performance as they
acted out their various roles. The props and
costumes were interesting, and added color
to this production of "Sam". Those taking
part were Leanne Whitmore, Mary Lou
Stewart, Brent Whitmore, Melissa Whit-
more, Laura McKercher, Susan Stewart,
Becky Gray, Heather McKercher, Tracy
