events to observe the Liberation of

Westminister Hospital.
The Dykehoppers are a Mardi -Gras, or
Carnaval Society and were founded on
April 13, 1966 as a subsidiary of the Dutch
Canadian Society of London and District.
This was founded a few years earlier and
has its own clubhouse at 1738 Gore Road
in London, Ontario.
The Dykehoppers are involved in a
variety of community events and fund
raising efforts. For more than a decade
they have participated in the annual
Ladies Ride for Cancer in London, and
added color and fun to that event. Also
they have raised thousands of dollars for
this and other charities.
Their well known brass band has sold
hundreds of recordings. Wherever they
go everyone is sure to enjoy a good time.
At Klompen Feest the Dykehoppers
band and dancers will lead the Saturday
afternoon parade and will be in charge of
the outdoor entertainment program, to
be held at the Clinton Community Park
following the parade and opening
ceremonies.
Please consult the program in this edi-
tion for complete details regarding the
entertainment schedule.

lots of fun when The Dykehoppers per-
form. And that's just the way The
Dykehoppers like it.
The Dykehoppers are dedicated to the
promotion of the happy side of Dutch life.
The swaying and the singing with friends
London group will
lead the Saturday
afternoon parade
and strangers, the show antics, the
wooden shoe dancing and the party at-
mosphere are all important parts of the
Dutch celebration and The Dykehoppers'
show. Their performances focus on
folklore of the Netherlands, the culture
and the traditions and part of the fun is
introducing these customs to "Cana-
dian" audiences.
The Dykehoppers are known
throughout southwestern Ontario.
They've provided entertainment for
thousands of people in places like Toron-
to, Sarnia, Windsor, Pickering,
