League held their monthly meeting on App
8 at the home of Dorothy Van Steelandt.
It was decided that Agnes Lammerant is
to make an afghan on which tickets will be
sold for an autumn draw.
Past President Yvonne Cronyn presided
over the election of offices, those being
President, Joanne Campschroer;
Secretary, Theresa Machan; Treasurer,
Mary Sanders; Past President, Nellie Van
Bakel; President Elect, Dorothy Van
Steelandt; Vice President, Agnes Lam-
merant. Coffee, Sunday will be May 12 with
Raymond Rammeloo and Bert Sanders

Eight tables of lost heir were played on
May 1 at the Blyth Memorial Hall. The win-
ners were: High Lady: Edythe Snell; Low
Lady: Vern Howett; High Man: Charlie
Smith; Low Man: Shane Snell.
Lost Heir play will resume in October.
Ten tables of euchre were played on Mon-
day night at the Blyth Memorial Hall. Win-
ners included: High Lady - Bernice McClin-
chey; Low Lady - Dorothy Daer; High Man -
Mike Cummings of Brussels; Low Man -
Gordon Murray of Walton; Ladies Lone
Hands - Eileen Cummings of Brussels;
Men's Lone Hands - Laurance Ryan of
Walton; Special - Marg Brooks of Goderich.
Euchre will be played again next Monday
night.
June Daer, Laura Lee and Jason of New
Hamburg, and June's sister Anne Legg of
Kitchener spent last Saturday with Mr. and
Mrs. Bert Daer of Blyth.
Garage Sale on
The garage sale committee of the Blyth
United Church held their second meeting on
April 23 at the home of Lorna Fraser.
Letters have been sent out to local mer-
chants for an appeal for donations for our
auction at 11 a.m. A poster of all con-
tributors and their donations will be posted
at the arena the day of the sale. The choir
again this year will be selling geraniums.
More rags were collected and cut up at this
meeting.

BELGRAVE - There was an excellent turn
out for the new North Huron Veterinary
Club in Blyth on April 24. The members
learned that the main study topic would be
respiratory disease.
The election of officers was held with the
folowing results: President - Steven Dow;
Vice-president - Anita Wolts; Secretary -
Lisa Boonstoppel; Press Reporter - Kate
Procter.
Corning events were discussed, including
Judging, Deinonstration and Reach for the
Top competitions. A representative for the
Youth Council was chosen.
The next meeting will be held on May 29 at
8 p.m. at the home of Brian Wiersma, near
Blyth.
The,Cancer Society Carnpaign• in the
Belgrve area raised $1314.50, an. increase
of $15: .over last year. Thanks to all those
who contributed and the canvassers for a
job well done,

successful bake sale at the Flea Market in
the Wingharn Armouries on Sat., May 4.

Belgrave, called at the Millar -George
Funeral Home in London on Sunday
afternoon and paid their respects to their
cousin, Mrs. David'Duncan of Granton.

Two Belgrave area boys participated
recently in the Walkerton. Rotary Music
Festival.
Playing "The Policeman," Patrick Cull
placed first with a mark of 86. Steven
f'rnlltes Also received an 86 for his rendition
of The Ottawa Valley Song.
Mr. Coultes was asked to perform the song
again at the Highlights of the Festival
Concert at the Walkerton and District High
School Saturday night.
This was Walkerton's fourth annual Music
Festival and had almost 6000 participants in
choir, vocal, instrumental dance and piano
categories.

Darlene Leeming on their recent marriage,
March 17. Nelson Marks was in charge of
the guest book when many friends,
neighbors and relatives attended.
The first part of the evening euchre was
