at the funeral home 2:00 Wednesday afternoon.

CPU Auxiliary will assist
in mock disaster plan
CLINTON - Twenty-four members of the
Hospital Auxiliary braved the 'spring"
storm to attend the April 1 meetingin the
Boardroom at' the Clinton Public Hospital.
Director of Nursing, Jean Cox, outlined
the Disaster Plan that has 'been set up for
the hospital in the event that such was ever
needed. A mock disaster has been planned,
involving the firemen, the police, the am-
bulance staff and the C.H.S.S. drama club.
Auxiliary members will be needed to assist
in this exercise.
A letter was read fron the hospital board
thanking the Auxiliary for their offer to pur-
chase the new "Bath Unit" at an approx-
imate cost of $9,000.00. The Board also pro-
mised that the Auxiliary will be consulted
prior to renovations taking place in the Gift
Shop and Hairdressing areas.
Kathleen Siertsema reported that the
Huron Country Playhouse had donated two
tickets for the Hospital Auction on April 13.
Marg Caldwell convenor of Long Term
Care, reported that volunteers had assisted
at the St. Patrick's Party, at several birth-
day parties, and had transplanted seedlings
in the Sun Room so that the patients can
watch the spring flowers grow, under the
new Grow Light. Two birthday cakes were
requested for April 10, and April 24 birthday
parties.

Ceremony on Sunday, May 5 at 2:00 p.m. at
Ontario Street United Church.
Marian Murray reported that the Bayfield
UCW had made the tray favors for St.
Patrick's Dav nd St. Paul's Anglican Guild
was looking after the Easter Day favors.
May 8 has been set by the Hospital Board
as Hospital Day. The Auxiliary will supply
refreshments following tours of the hospital
The Spring Conference for Region 2 will
be held in Guelph on April 29. Anyone wan-
ting to attend, please call the President,
Joyce Chilton 565-2165.
The Institute for Hospital Auxiliaries will
be held ' April 30 - May 1 at the Ontario
Hospital .Association Centre in Don Mills.
The membership campaign is well
organized by the convenor Evelyn Holmes
and will commence the end of April. When
paying your membership this year, look at
the questionnaire and seriously think about
volunteering a few hours per week or month
to help make the patients' lives more com-
fortable.
The Auxiliary voted to have a booth at the
Spring Fair, and to once again hold a raffle.

Hospital.

South Huron Hospital Board of Governors,
at a special meeting Wednesday, March 27,
accepted the resignation of Roger L.
Sheeler, administrator for the past five
years.
Mr. Sheeler joined the hospital board
March 3rd, 1980 relocating from Toronto
where he had served, as Administrator of
Bloorview Children's Hospital, Willowdale
,for eight years. Mr. Sheeler resigned his
post at Exeter to accept the Chief Executive
Officer's position at Leamington District
Memorial Hospital, Leamington, Ontario, a
157 bed complex situated 35 miles from
Windsor.
In accepting the resignation, Mr. Robert
Dowrrt' Chairman, Board of Governors
referenced Mr. Sheeler's many
accomplishments and wished him well in his
new endeavours. He referenced the board
could not stand in the way of a career
advancement, and indicated that if we were
to continue to attract a high calibre
administrator, they would further want to.
advance their career. He said "the board
owed it to the community to provide good
administrators and we can expect this to
happen."
In conclusion, he said that Mr. Sheeler will
long be remembered for his contributions
and for his impact on h41th care in this
community.
