CLINTON - Entertainment for everyone is
the emphasis of April Showers, a three-day
concert and theatre program, to be held at
the Clinton Town Hall on April 16, 17 and 19.
An innovative children's songwriter, a
magnificent men's choir and entertaining
theatre will be included in the April Showers
festival.
The program will begin on Tuesday, April
16 with a performance from Deborah
Dunleavy and her entertaining and unusual
children's program. Jibbery Jive is songs,
music and fun, taken from Deborah's
album, of the same name, which puts
children's stories to upbeat, unusual tunes
and rhythms.
This show is specifically geared to
parents, tots and school aged children, but
people of all ages are welcome to attend.
Show times are from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. and
from 2 to 3 p.m.
April Showers continues on Thursday,
April 17 when the Town Hall Auditorium will
be filled with the music from the
Schneider's Men's Choir from Kitchener.
Forty voices strong, this talented group of
men will perform a variety of music - from
modern to traditional, religious to all-time
classics. The performance gets underway at
8 p.m.
Another special treat will be in store on.
Friday, April 19 when The Toy Town
Troupers Theatre Company from Hamilton
bring their act to the stage. They will per-
form The Haunted Castle, a 'story about a
friendly ghost who saves a family from
financial ruin.
This performance is geared to people of
all ages and showtime is at 8 p.m.
April Showers was organized by the Clin-
ton Recreation Arts Committee. The pro-
gram attempts to include a variety of enter-
tainment requested by local people who
completed a town hall survey conducted last
fall. -
. It promises to bring top notch .entertain-
ment to Clinton at affordable prices. Ticket.
prices range from $1.50 to $3.
Advance tickets are now available at the
Clinton Recreation . Office, the Clinton
Municipal Offices, the News -Record and,
C&C Variety.
